Los Angeles, California was his birthplace and British mother, Lynn Hillman and American father, Richard Garfield (originally Garfinkel) are his parents. With his parents and his elder brother, they moved to Surrey, United Kingdom. While he was studying there, he began acting in school plays.

By the year 2005, he debuted on the television program, Sugar Rush. After this, he appeared alongside the unbelievably intellectual Doctor in Doctor Who. As a result, he received an extremely large English crowd following, all wanting to meet him.

He made his official Hollywood debut in Robert Redford's Lions For Lambs, alongside Redford, Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep. However, this movie was received unfavorably. This did not stop him from having his breakthrough in both the three-part Red Riding and The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, a visionary work from ex-Monty Python member, Terry Gilliam. Both were released on the year 2009.

By the the next decade, he got starring roles both on the drama, Never let Me Go, with Keira Knightley and Carrey Mulligan and the biopic movie, The Social Network, with Jesse Eisenberg and Justin Timberlake.

On 2012, he performed his most notable role as his childhood hero, Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man, with Rhys Ifans as the Lizard, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben, Sally Field as Aunt May, Denis Leary as Capt. Stacy and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy. In this movie, he met his girlfriend Emma Stone, and they are currently a couple. This year, he'll be returning to the big-screen again as Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

I hope this Spider-Man joins the Avengers soon.

  2. I really hope that Sony executives will still reconsider him as Peter Parker on the next installment of the Amazing Spiderman movie.
