I have been following the Simpsons' family ever since and I am proud to say that I like all 552 episodes that they have aired for the last 25 seasons.  The Simpsons is the longest running TV sitcom in American.  They started airing in December 17, 1989 and has been named by Time Magazine as the 20th century's best television series of all time. I'm a fan!

The movie brings the whole Town of Springfield to the big screen.  The story revolves around the Simpsons family with Homer as the principal protagonist. The story begun when a concert being performed by Green Day went haywire because the barge where they are performing on starts to dissolve because of pollution. At the memorial service given by Reverend Lovejoy, Grandpa Simpsons has a premonition that something bad will happen to Springfield and its people. Liza calls for a town meeting informing the people of Springfield that their water is contaminated because of pollution and chemical contamination from factories.  A clean-up campaign was made and a law was passed by the mayor and a wall was made to prevent people from dumping their waste in the lake.  Homer, after adopting a pig he got from Krusty's, has been collecting in a silo all the pig's feces.  Having a silo full of pig's waste, Homer dumps his silo in the lake resulting to an environmental disaster for the town.  This came to the attention of the Environmental Protection Agency or the EPA and a plan to put the whole town of Springfield in a glass dome was created to control the further spread of the contamination.  Blaming Homer for the disaster being faced by the town, an unruly mob came to the Simpsons' house wanting revenge.  The family was able to escape and went on to Alaska to live a new life there.  Seeing a television commercial about a plan to make a new and modern city in the place where Springfield is located, the family make their way back home to save their beloved Springfield.  Watch Homer and the rest of the Simpsons' family as they face unbeatable odds but still manage to overcome them the best they know how - Simpsons' style.

All in all, the movie did great. It made well in the box-office and has garnered a lot of praises and accolades. Watching Simpsons and every character associated with it still made me laugh after all these years. The satirical elements found in the movie, as well as it's gorgeous animation, inspiring environmental messages and spectacular voice-acting makes this a worthy addition in your movie collection.
