The Man of Steel is back, and this time, he'll be going toe-to-toe with... the Dark Knight himself (another DC Superhero)? This should be interesting. Welcome back once more to Dateline Movies, and today, we'll be tackling the movie crossover everybody was asking for, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Like in the previous Spotted! entry, a lot of people have been giving their comments regarding the casting choices for the movie or the possibility of the movie itself becoming a letdown, but remember, it's Batman, the World's Greatest Detective beating-up Superman, the Man from Krypton or was it vise-versa. So if you're planning to go on a trip to either Metropolis or Gotham City, it is best to cancel that right away.

What we saw in the trailer?

Superman, played by Henry Cavill (Immortals), has divided the sentiments of the general public. Despite saving Metropolis from the invasion of the other remnants of Krypton, half of the city's population blames him for the destruction of the properties and the loss of countless of lives. This leads him to try and live a normal life, successfully finding work in Daily Planet, where his love interest Lois Lane, played by Adams (Enchanted) works as well.

His presence in the city grabbed the attention of several powerful figures. The enigmatic Lex Luthor, played by Eisenberg (The Double), who wants him for his research on Kryptonian technology. The veteran vigilante Batman, played by Affleck (Good Will Hunting, The Town), sees him not as a hero but as a threat, leading him to arm himself with an array of anti-Superman gears. A new female hero, Wonder Woman, played by Gadot (Fast and Furious), is seen here as well.

Many of both Superman's and Batman's friends make their appearances here, like Martha Kent, played by Lane (Must Love Dogs), Perry White, played by Fishburne (Mission Impossible III) and Alfred Pennyworth, played by Jeremy Irons (Dead Ringers).

1. Showdown: With the trailer finally out, we can now get a good glimpse on how this will probably go down. In the first part of the trailer, you can hear people telling Superman to go home or giving him a handful of criticism with his position as a hero of Metropolis. Others seems to see him as a messiah or Christ-figure. Although some praise him, the majority probably hates him because his statue was vandalized with the words "False God" written on it. The public outcry might lead Batman to beat-up Superman, especially him uttering the phrase "Tell me, do you bleed? You will." Also check out his Batmobile, he seems battle ready alright. Wonder Woman though, is yet to be seen.

2. "Unite The Seven...": Speaking of heroes, one of the most anticipated appearance was that of Jason Momoa as the King of Atlantis, Aquaman. According to some sources, Aquaman would only make a short cameo in the movie. It was said that Aquaman would be very furious at what General Zod did to the Indian Ocean. Just a little bit of a flash back here.  Remember in the Man of Steel, General Zod put one of the World Engine in the ocean which destroys many marine live, thus upsetting Aquaman. Does this mean Aquaman may join Batman beating-up Superman for a while?

3. Run, Run, Run!: Another superhero cameo, the famous Scarlet Speedster may be sharing the big screen with the three heroes for a short time. It was hinted that the actor above, Scoot McNairy, could be playing a character who would play a pivotal role in the film universe soon. The possible role he may tackle may be that of the Flash, since he may be using those socks to create the Speed Force effect. It is highly probable, but this would be in contrast with the fact that an actor was already cast as the Flash in future films. Could he probably be portraying someone else?

4. Teen Titan(s) GO?: Boy, the fans were right, they should just call this movie "Justice League". For fans of the beloved animated show, Teen Titans, you might very well know the mechanical fellow above as Cyborg. And as you guys would expect, Cyborg would be making his cinematic debut here, as confirmed by Ray Fisher himself. His role may be a small one, but it is no doubt that we'll soon be following the updated version of Cyborg. However, his presence here is still in question. In my opinion, after Victor Stone/Cyborg has suffered a severe accident and he might need the help of Lex Luthor to bring his body back together, and for doing this favor Lex would rather or probably asked something in return.

5. The Dark Knight Returns Again: Apart from the heroes galore, the story of the movie seems all the more interesting. Many have speculated that the movie may be an adaptation of "The Dark Knight Returns" comics since as confirmed by Ben Affleck, Batman will be a seasoned hero and would be coming out of retirement to beat the pulp out of Superman. In addition, Jena Mallone of Sucker Punch may be suiting-up as a female Robin. However, there are rumors flying in that her character already died before the events of the film. Her supposed fall is the reason why Batman hung-up the cape. This should be good.

6. Eisenberg for Heisenberg: Even though many wanted to see Walter White/Bryan Cranston to play the villain, Jesse Eisenberg was given the duty of portraying the sinister Lex Luthor. Many deemed the idea as a miscast, so DC and Warner Bros. turned the tables by showing us how Eisenberg can pull this character off. But let's put the casting opinions aside, and instead, let's take a look at his attire. It looks like as if he is in jail. Of course, he'll be sitting in jail since he is a bad guy, but could this mean that he'll already be a criminal even before the film started? Also in the trailer, you can hear Lex say "Devils don't come from hell beneath us. They come from the sky.". This already hints his hatred for Superman.

7. Calling All Bad Guys: For a handful of heroes, there must be an equal amount of villains to oppose them. In our last hidden surprise, we discussed the possible evil-doers that may be coming to Lex Luthor's aid. Let's do this in a list manner so that our minds won't overload.

A. Doomsday: Actor Michael Shannon, who played General Zod in Man of Steel, was seen in the set. Although his character died in the predecessor, it is possible that Zod may be reincarnated into Doomsday, the beast that killed Superman in "The Death of Superman" arc. It may be because of Luthor obtaining his body and experimenting on it. Images of Superman's funeral were also seen, which leads to the conclusion that this is possible.

B. Mercy Graves: Unlike the rest of the baddies in this list, this one has been confirmed. Tao Okamoto is set to play as Mercy Graves, Luthor's bodyguard. In addition, it has been said that LexCorp, Luthor's company, may be like the evil versions of Microsoft or Apple.

C. Bizzaro: Just like the Doomsday theory, it is possible that General Zod may be brought back to life, in a very different angle. Instead, Zod's DNA may be fused with Superman's in order to create a nasty and dastardly bizarre version of him (Saw what I did there?). Bizarro, for non-comic readers, was a genetically imperfect clone of Superman, who literally does everything the opposite of what you expect Superman to do.

D. Brainiac: What's this? Someone else is the big bad? Maybe. According to a source, Brainiac would be the primary antagonist of one of the Justice League films, and his plan kicks into gear here when he manipulates the two into beating each other up. Of course, he'll need some help in the form of LexCorp's technology. Will we see Brainiac in action?

E. Mr. Zsasz: This one is a possible cameo only. We might be seeing this insane killer in nowhere else but Arkham Asylum, or maybe even a flashback. Victor Zsasz is a serial killer in the comics that keeps count of his body count by placing scars in his body, and mostly a Batman bad guy. He is rumored to be played by Callan Mulvey.

F. KGBeast, David Cain and MetalloAn evildoer would often need some muscle to do their dirty work. So obviously, Luthor would be seeking some. This is where KGBeast, David Cain and Metallo come in. KGBeast is a former-KGB agent who has a machine gun for an arm, Cain is a vicious hitman and Metallo is somewhat an Iron Man wannabe who has a Kryptonite for a heart. While it wasn't confirmed if they would appear, or only one of them would, the actors who would portray them are still a mystery.

G. Morgan Edge: Another mystery role, Morgan Edge has been rumored to be a spokesperson for LexCorp. In the comics, Edge is a corrupt media mogul who runs a news studio as a front for his crimes.

H. Amanda Waller: Goodness, is anybody not in this movie? For Arrow fans, she is the secondary antagonist of the current season, and she is played by Cynthia Addai-Robinson. You might know that Viola Davis would be portraying her in the Suicide Squad flick. She may be here as a contractor or client of Luthor's.

Man, was that exhausting! This movie really do have potential, and I wish the very best for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice in March 25, 2016.  Still a long time to go, so expect more alterations and modification in the turn out of the movie.

Ciao for now!!
