Coming soon to Philippine cinemas is the science fiction comedy movie titled Colossal starring the gorgeous Anne Hathaway together with funny man Jason Sudeikis in a movie written and directed by Spanish filmmaker Ignacio "Nacho" Vigalondo. Nacho Vigalondo was an Academy Award nominee for Best Live Action Short Film at the 77th Academy Awards ceremony which was held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles in February 27, 2005, for his work 7:35 in the Morning.

Gloria (Anne Hathaway) is an out-of-work writer and an alcoholic party girl who, after getting kicked out of her apartment by her frustrated boyfriend Tim (Dan Stevens), is forced to leave her life in New York and move back to her hometown. She reunites with her childhood friend Oscar (Jason Sudeikis) who has inherited his father's bar and humbly offers Gloria a job to help her. However, working at the bar does not stop Gloria from her alcoholic problem and instead joins Oscar and his coterie of drinking buddies (Tim Blake Nelson and Austin Stowell) and resumes her drinking lifestyle.

Suddenly news reports surface on the other side of the world that a giant, larger-than-life reptilian kaiju creature is destroying Seoul, South Korea on a nightly basis leaving countless death and destruction in its path. Gloria gradually comes to the realization that her every move at the local playground is being mimicked on a catastrophic scale by the rampaging beast. That she is somehow connected to this far-off phenomenon. As events begin to spin out of control, Gloria must determine why her seemingly insignificant existence has such a colossal effect on the fate of the world.
