The park is open, again. Welcome to Dateline Movies yet again, and today for our seventh Spotted! post, we'll be trying to find some interesting things in the trailers of one of summer's biggest hits, because once again, I was not able to watch it myself. So if you haven't watched it, then you are not alone! So get ready to take a trip back to Isla Numbar, and pray that you make it out alive in Jurassic World!
What we saw in the trailers?
Years after a few failed attempts to reclaim the island (and to make sequels) and the death of Jurassic Park founder John Hammond, Simon Masrani, played by Khan (The Amazing Spider-Man), the head of Masrani Corporation has finally relaunched the park and turned it into Jurassic World, with larger dinosaurs, more advanced technology and one hybrid dinosaur known as the Indominus Rex.
Dinosaur trainer Owen Grady, played by Pratt (Who?), keeps the dinosaurs in check, alongside security chief Vic Hoskins, played by D' Onofrio (Netflix's Daredevil). Owen seems to have a connection with a few of the dinosaurs, which makes his life easier. Park manager and Owen's boss Claire Dearing, played by Dallas Howard (Spider-Man 3) disagrees with Owen's claims of relating with the dinosaurs.
Claire's nephews Zach, played by Robinson (The Kings of Summer) and Grey Mitchell, played by Simpkins (Iron Man 3) come to visit their aunt, Claire, while their mother Karen, played by Greer (Jeff, Who Lives at Home), is probably off to work. Their little adventures in the park has been interrupted when the Indominus Rex escapes from containment, and it's up to these unlikely heroes to stop the creature from turning the visitors into Dino-Chow!
Spotted!: Hidden Surprises and Trivia (Spoiler Alert!)

1. One Literal Easter Egg: For our first hidden surprise, we take a look at Jurassic World's Easter Promo! As you might have noticed, there are cyphers on the eggs that could be decoded if you know how. According to a source, most of these codes would lead straight to various promotional stills from the film itself, but the best part is that one which features a book entitled "God Creates Monsters", that was written by Dr. Ian Malcolm, who was played by Jeff Goldblum. Does this mean we could be seeing Jeff Goldblum reprise his fan-favorite character in this flick, or simply referenced?

2. I Will Survive!: Aside from Dr. Ian Malcolm's possible presence, another member of the original cast has reprised his role, because he apparently survived the carnage of the previous Jurassic films, aside from the lead characters. B.D. Wong, who played Dr. Henry Wu, has already been seen in a few shots from the movie, and is said to be the one responsible for creating the dinosaurs! Could this mean he also created that Indominus Rex?

3. History Repeats Itself: Among all the homages seen in the trailers, the most striking appearance is that of this amber. Yes, they're using it again, because people just never learn! The question is, what new creatures have the egg heads cooked-up in their laboratory? Possibly, a lot!
4. One Dino Army: For our last hidden surprise, we talk about the latest creature to roam Isla Numbar, the great, the abominable, the terrifying, Indominus Rex! What makes it one of the most interesting concepts in the film is that it is a hybrid of several dinosaur, and possibly other animals', DNA. If you could look at the chart above, you could notice that it is a possible hybrid of the following creatures...
Allosaurus, Crocodile, Caratosaurus, Spinosaur, Hadrosaur, Tyrannosaurus (obviously), Snake, Chameleon, Sauropod, Anklyosaurus and, Human DNA? This could mean a challenge for Owen and his pals, especially since he needs a small band of Raptors to detain the beast! Did you also know that "Indominus" means "untamable king"?
Well I guess that's a wrap for our seventh, yet rather short, Spotted! post. Are you excited for this film? Still hoping to catch it on the big screen.
