Movies With More Or Less The Same Ending

Some movies although they may have different actors or actresses, different director, different story or plot or different setting, they have more or less the same ending. In these cases, blowing up an alien spacecraft or mother ship or a portal in order to survive and turn the tide of the war against them and then ultimately win over the alien aggressor. Also, since we're talking about endings, expect a lot of spoilers ahead, so be warned! Let's take a look at the following movies:

1. Oblivion
Source
Oblivion stars Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Melissa Leo and is written, directed and produced by Joseph Kosinski.  It was released on April 19, 2013 with a running time of 124 minutes.  It is an adaptation of Kosinki's original graphic novel he developed for Radical Comics bearing the same title - Oblivion.

Earth is now destroyed.  It was attacked by aliens and the humans retaliated with nuclear means causing massive destruction and chaos.  The last remaining group of people are abandoning Earth and trying to settle in to one of Saturn's moons Titan.

Jack Harper (Tom Cruise) and Victoria Olsen (Andrea Riseborough) are two of the few humans remaining on Earth whose task is to keep watch over a colossal fusion energy generator that is powering the Titan colonist, against the supposed to be saboteurs known as "Scavs", the few remaining aliens that attacked Earth. But Jack Harper will soon find out that everything is not what they seem to be.

The Scavs are really the few humans that are alive on Earth waging war against the supposed to be humans at Titan that is in reality are really the true aliens that destroyed the Earth. I hope you got that.

THE ENDING:

Jack Harper and the remaining humans headed by Malcolm Beech (Morgan Freeman) uses an alien drone that was previously sent to annihilate them, load it with enough fuel cell bombs to destroy the alien mother ship by tricking the aliens that they will allow their own drone to enter their defenses, but unknown to the aliens Jack Harper and Malcolm Beech on board to detonate the said fuel cell bombs

This scene is more or less just like what Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum did at Independence Day, and speaking of Independence Day...

2. Independence Day

Source
Independence Day stars Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman and Randy Quaid among others, and directed and co-written by disaster film expert Roland Emmerich and written and produced by Dean Devlin. Originally due to be released on July 3, 1996, but was moved one day back due to hype, it has a running time of 145 minutes in total. Although not an adaptation of any kind, it is albeit a spiritual successor to Stargate. Also, expect a sequel in June 24, 2016.

In July 2, an extraterrestrial threat has landed on Earth, and for no good reason, has ravaged every historical landmark. The story focuses on four individuals who, along with many others, have come together to save our  planet.

Capt. Steven Hiller (Will Smith) is a hot-shot pilot and family man, who has  a dream of becoming an astronaut. David Levinson (Jeff Goldblum) is a scientist who discovered mysterious signals in space. Pres. Thomas J. Whitmore (Bill Pullman) is the President of the United States who must unite the citizens in their revolution. Russell Casse (Randy Quaid) is a paranoid crop duster who has a very nasty attitude towards the aliens, simply because according to him the aliens has abducted and experimented on him. Together, they must stop the aliens from destroying and annihilating the entire human race and restore peace.

With a little inspiration from his father, David found out that the only way to stop aliens is to infect their enemies' computer systems with a virus. Of course, as you might have guessed it, a bomb is required.

THE ENDING:

Since there was a lack of fighters, Russell and Pres. Whitmore volunteered to join in while Capt. Hiller and David hitched a ride to the mothership using an alien spaceship that has crush-landed on earth before in order to successfully input a virus onboard the alien mothership and activate the virus.

After several explosions and Russell's heroic sacrifice, the mothership explodes, but not before Capt. Hiller and David make it out, just in time to light their celebratory cigars.

3. The Avengers

Source
The Avengers united Earth's Mightiest Heroes with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson reprising their already familiar roles. Released on May 4, 2012, this film was written and directed by Joss Whedon with a running time of 143 minutes. Its sequel is in theaters now, with its future installments coming soon.

The Asgardian God of Mischief Loki (Tom Hiddleston) has returned, and he has declared war on Earth. To save the world, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) bands together the Avengers, with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) to apprehend Loki.

THE ENDING:

When the World Security Council lost their patience in the heroes, they ordered a nuclear strike in the city of New York. Nick Fury failed to stop the launch, so he warned Iron Man of the incoming missile.

Seeing only one option, Iron Man carried the nuke into the portal, with some help from the Black Widow. The devastating blast from the nuclear missile resulted in the shut-down of the invading Chitauri's portal and thereby stopping them from invading the Earth. Almost dying, the Hulk's loud roar brought him back to life and requested the team to eat some Shawarma after taking Loki in.

4. Pacific Rim

Source
This sci-fi action film stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Max Martini, Robert Kazinsky, Burn Gorman and Ron Perlman, and aided by the direction of Guillermo Del Toro and a story by Travis Beacham. Released in July 12, 2013, it has a running time of 131 minutes. Also, a sequel is coming late this year, and their third film coming soon.

When Earth has been overrun by Godzilla look-alikes known as "Kaiju" who somehow has uncovered a secret portal the makes it possible for them to send alien monster giants, the human race also decided to go big or go extinct by building their own versions of Gundam-style suits called the "Jaegars". Raleigh Becket (Charlie Hunnam) who goes to early retirement after an unfortunately incident while being the pilot of the Gypsy Danger until Marshall Stacker Pentecost (Idris Elba) called him back to action, while allying with Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi), a mysterious pilot.

THE ENDING:

Making once again yet another bomb, Raleigh's crew journeys to the Arctic to fight a few Kaiju. They used a dead Kaiju body to enter the portal since the only way to enter it was to have Kaiju DNA. Upon entering, Gypsy Danger suddenly ran out of batteries and Raleigh and Mako decided to escape, and leaving nuclear-powered machine to explode. They await at the ocean to be rescued.

Imagine, travelling all the way from far, far away galaxies, sending numerous fleets of fighters and soldiers, just to be beaten by one missile.  Guess they must have miscalculated Earthings after all. Well, I guess that's a wrap for our "explosive" countdown. Coming soon in Dateline Movies are more Spotted! posts, more reviews and more of Dateline Movies Presents. Asta La Vista!!!

Movie Review - American Sniper

source
This war drama is based on the book The American Sniper - The Autobiography of The Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History which is written by Chris Kyle which was published on January 2012.

source

American Sniper tells the true story of United States Navy Seal Sniper nicknamed "The Legend" Christopher Scott "Chris" Kyle, one of the most decorated soldier, who based on accounts has 255 kills during the Iraq War, thus making him the most lethal marksman in US military history.

source
American Sniper is directed and produced by veteran actor and director Clint Eastwood and stars Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller,  Kyle Gallner, Cory Hardrict, Navid Negahban, Eric Close, Eric Ladin, Rey Gallegos, and Jake McDorman.

It was released worldwide on January 16, 2015 and has a running time of 132 minutes.  It is now considered as one of the highest box-office war movie ever made surpassing the record previously held by Saving Private Ryan.  To date, American Sniper is Clint Eastwood's highest grossing film. It has won for Bub Asman the Best Sound Editing award at the recently concluded 87th Academy Awards.

source

Chris Kyle, played by Cooper (Guardians of the Galaxy), is extremely patriotic towards his country. This has been proven in his reputation as a Navy Seal Sniper, going by the nickname, "The Legend". Aside from being skilled in the battlefield, Chris has a family with his wife, Taya Kyle, played by Miller (Foxcatcher) and their children.

In the aftermath of the devastating attack on  the World Trade Center, Chris has been called into action and must apprehend a terrorist group, all with the aid of his friends (each played by Kyle Gallner, Cory Hardrict, Eric Close, Eric Ladin, Rey Gallegos, and Jake McDorman). Receiving a tip from a source, played by Negahban (Brothers), Chris and company delve deeper into the war zone, but slowly becoming paranoid in the process. Can Chris keep his family together?

source
Although I may not be familiar with the true story, I can tell you this. This film is a masterpiece. From start to finish, Clint Eastwood wonderfully shows us the horrors of war and Bradley Cooper shines as a spectacular actor. Sure, it may be quite lengthy for some, but this a very gripping drama that will seriously leave an expression in your face. You will not be disappointed, I guarantee it.

Hooray for Free Comic Book Day!!!

source
ATTENTION EVERYONE!!!  It's that time of the year again for FREE COMIC BOOK DAY.  Hooray!!!

Celebrated annually every 1st Saturday of May, Free Comic Book Day is now on its 13th year.  Free Comic Book Day is the brainchild of Joe Field, who first proposed the idea on his column in Comics and Games Retailer Magazine.  The first Free Comic Book Day was held on May 4, 2002, one day after the opening day of the first Spider-Man movie starring Tobey Maguire.

Most action movies based on comic books had their opening day on the first week of May.  Some examples are X-Men 2 in 2003, Spider-Man 3 in 2007, Iron Man in 2008, X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009, Iron Man 2 in 2010, Thor in 2011, The Avengers in 2012, Iron Man 3 in 2013, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2014 starring Andrew Garfield and the soon to be released movie Avengers 2 - Age of Ultron will have its North America opening day on May 2015.

Free Comic Book Day has three (3) primary objectives: first, to promote comic books as a great medium for everyone to enjoy, love and appreciate; second, to bring back all those people who in one way or another, have once in their lives have enjoyed reading comic books; and lastly, to thank all the people who have supported and appreciated comic books.

Dateline Movies Presents: From the Console to the Big Screen

Do any of the pictures above look familiar? Yes, because they're video games, and they're about to be adapted and they are making their way to the big screens. Welcome once more to Dateline Movies, and today we'll be discussing video game themed movies. Video games are already movies in their own right, especially with their own cutscenes and story, so why is there a need for a movie adaptation? That's one of the few questions you would be asking. So while we take a break from our Spotted! posts, let's talk about why or why you should not watch video game adaptations.

Reasons To Watch:

1. It may be entertaining.

With today's top-notch technology, much of the unusual or impossible "game physics" can now be applied to the big screen and since there are obviously a lot of talented screenwriters out there, there is a chance the film may be following the directions correctly. If all of these resources are used wisely and correctly, then the film could not only be a money maker for the studios, it can also be a thrilling and exciting experience for everyone. Just take a look at the trailer for the upcoming movie by 20th Century Fox - Hitman: Agent 47 up there which stars Rupert Friend, Zachary Quinto, Hannah Ware, Angelababy and Thomas Kretschmann and directed by Polish-born Aleksander Bach. Does it make you explode in anticipation?

2. It may be reliable to its source material.

Source
Creating a setting from a computer is one thing, but keeping track of what went down in the video game world is a whole other story. To make things harder, sometimes video games don't even have any story to tell at all. So what should they do to make a very entertaining script while at the same time being close to its source material? They make new ideas. Without any story to follow, studios have enough creative freedom to surprise the audience and most importantly, avoid cliches. For the ones that do have a story, the screenwriter has to follow it precisely as it is. Of course, a few minor changes and little bits of surprises wouldn't hurt anybody. I mean, it would be amazing if you predicted how the World of Warcraft film would end.

3. It may be a fresh take on the video game.

Source
Like I said previously, if the video game's story is unavailable or simply "unfilmable", the studios have enough creative freedom to build something new. Most of the time, it would be controversial, similar to the to-be-released FANT4STIC and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice films. Of course they're comic book adaptations, not video game ones. With the money they might have, they might even create their own universe that have connections with its original material. It may be different, but you know what they say, "Don't judge a book by its cover", more especially if it may be an Assassin's Creed film.

Reasons NOT To Watch:

Source 1, Source 2, Source 3, Source 4, Source 5, Source 6
1. It may be awful, simply awful.

Is the name Uwe Boll ringing any bells? (Cricket Noises) In my own honest opinion, this filmmaker's name is living proof why video games cannot be transformed into flicks. For those who are not that familiar with his reputation, he is known for adapting a lot of popular video games, but instead of taking a new direction, he borrows plot elements from other well-known movies. In addition, his takes on the games are seen as unintentionally humorous, poorly directed, and complete with uninspired acting and screenwriting. To make it worse though, he even took a lot of A-List artists down with him. These names include Jason Statham, Ron Perlman, Christian Slater, Michael Madsen, J.K. Simmons, Ray Liotta, John-Rhys Davies, and even Sir Ben Kingsley. Luckily, none of their careers were doomed. To sum it up, these types of films could just waste your time, or your money, but mostly both.

Source

2. It may just turn everything you love into one big joke.

Okay, I have said enough good about the idea of having creative freedom. Now let's check about the downside of this subject. Sometimes studios are very afraid of change or originality. I wonder why? Oh yeah, it's because of money. But hey, nobody wants to buy a ticket just because it replicates the thrill of other movies. Take the Resident Evil film series for example. Even though it is about to (thankfully) end, these movies just goes to show you that just because you're bearing the name of the game, it doesn't mean it'll be just like it and will likely be more like many others. If comic books fans can't take changes in their flicks, then you probably wouldn't want to hear what gamers would like to say.

3. It may go overkill with CGI or chatter.

Have you watched the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy and loved the computer-generated characters? Have you seen the Transformers flicks and thrill at the action sequences? Have you even understood what the Matrix sequels were trying to tell us? No? Then you're not the only one, because the reason why you probably didn't enjoy much of it is because of the overabundance of exposition, CGI or both. Okay, so they may not be based on video games, but it is still sensible with our topic. As much as I enjoy adding a thought-provoking spin on these adaptations or cool and thrilling action, I would rather be playing the games if its all too much. The film version of Doom suffered because of too much CGI but little story, while I believe that the Lara Croft films did the opposite. Here's to hoping future films would be grand.

4. It may be too gritty for kids or too childish for adults.

Source
Lastly, the most crucial thing about video game movies are their changes or uneven pacing of tone. If the game is made for everyone, there shouldn't be any reason to darken the atmosphere, and if it is created for an adult audience, there is no need to censor everything. Sure, young fans of mature-oriented products may not see it or adult fans may be bored, but at least they would not disappoint the expectations of many. The studios should exceed our expectations, not decrease. Super Mario Bros. was suppose to be a lighthearted film, but it was transformed into a creepy, dystopian creation.

I know what you're saying, "I don't think I'd be spending any money on these flicks", but remember what I said earlier, since appearances can be deceiving. So before I close this article, I'll leave you this schedule of upcoming video game films. Sayonara!!!

The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water

Yehey!!!  We got an invite courtesy of Stratworks Marketing Communications and Jollibee to watch the new SpongeBob SquarePants movie - Sponge Out of Water.  We were given four tickets, so every member of the family was able to watch and enjoy it last April 5, 2015 at SM Muntinlupa.

Not only that, free meals were also given and boy what a meal it was.  Each of us was given Jollibee's newest burger sensation, the Cheesy Bacon Mushroom Yum complete with french fries and drinks.  Although it may not be a Krabby Patty and Krabby Fries with Seafoam Soda, it really made our day a great day indeed.

If only the people of Bikini Bottom can just taste the Cheesy Bacon Mushroom Melt, they just might turn their attention to this one, most specially Plankton.

Now back to the movie at hand.  After almost 11 years since the first SpongeBob SquarePants Movie which was released last November 2004, the new SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water is here to make us laugh once more with all the familiar characters we grew up with. Back on the big screen are SpongeBob, Patrick Star, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Plankton, Sandy Cheeks and the whole of Bikini Bottom.  The new movie was ably directed by Paul Tibbitt and Mike Mitchell.  The story was done by Stephen Hillenburg and Paul Tibbitt and was made by Paramount Animation, Nickelodeon Movies and United Plankton Pictures.  The movie has a running time of 92 minutes.  Although it was released last February 6, 2015 in the United States, Sponge Out of Water was just released here in the Philippines last April 4, 2015.

source

If you would compare the original film to this one, it has better animation. It successfully combines 3-D with traditional animation and live-action. The end result of the movie was a very funnny blend, that successfully creates a happy-go-lucky atmosphere that viewers of all ages, young and old alike, can enjoy. Story-wise, however, I think the original movie has a better plot. In this installment, it focuses once more on the stolen Krabby Patty Secret Formula, but unlike the original movie, which gives a slightly heart-warming feel, this one uses more flash and less substance. Much of the humors come from its visual style, which would make a few people dizzy with its use of eye-popping visuals and graphics. Regardless, this is still an enjoyable flick for all ages. Not only that, Antonio Banderas' character might give you a huge chuckle or two, especially since in my opinion, he is not only good in action movies, but he is also a talented comedian.

Here, we rejoin our aquatic friends on a mind-boggling journey to retrieve the Krabby Patty Secret Formula from Burger-Beard, played by Antonio Banderas (Puss In Boots) who was able to obtain a mysterious and magical book that can make stories written on it come true.

source
There are a few problems though. Plankton and Spongebob are blamed for the disappearance of the secret formula, and the two must team-up if they ever want to go back to Bikini Bottom. Not only that, with the lack of Krabby Patties, Bikini Bottom is now a desolate wasteland.

source
To restore order, Spongebob and friends must unite in the surface, especifically Salty Shoals, a beach community where Burger Beard has converted his small pirate ship into a food truck selling Krabby Patties, to reclaim what was stolen, and maybe break a few chunks of reality along the way.

Spotted! Part 3: Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice

Source

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

This film is to be released on March 25, 2016 (US Release Date, Available For Worldwide Viewing)

Writers: David S. Goyer and Zach Snyder

Director: Zach Snyder

Starring: Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane and Jeremy Irons

The Man of Steel is back, and this time, he'll be going toe-to-toe with... the Dark Knight himself (another DC Superhero)? This should be interesting. Welcome back once more to Dateline Movies, and today, we'll be tackling the movie crossover everybody was asking for, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Like in the previous Spotted! entry, a lot of people have been giving their comments regarding the casting choices for the movie or the possibility of the movie itself becoming a letdown, but remember, it's Batman, the World's Greatest Detective beating-up Superman, the Man from Krypton or was it vise-versa. So if you're planning to go on a trip to either Metropolis or Gotham City, it is best to cancel that right away.

What we saw in the trailer?

Superman, played by Henry Cavill (Immortals), has divided the sentiments of the general public. Despite saving Metropolis from the invasion of the other remnants of Krypton, half of the city's population blames him for the destruction of the properties and the loss of countless of lives. This leads him to try and live a normal life, successfully finding work in Daily Planet, where his love interest Lois Lane, played by Adams (Enchanted) works as well.

His presence in the city grabbed the attention of several powerful figures. The enigmatic Lex Luthor, played by Eisenberg (The Double), who wants him for his research on Kryptonian technology. The veteran vigilante Batman, played by Affleck (Good Will Hunting, The Town), sees him not as a hero but as a threat, leading him to arm himself with an array of anti-Superman gears. A new female hero, Wonder Woman, played by Gadot (Fast and Furious), is seen here as well.

Many of both Superman's and Batman's friends make their appearances here, like Martha Kent, played by Lane (Must Love Dogs), Perry White, played by Fishburne (Mission Impossible III) and Alfred Pennyworth, played by Jeremy Irons (Dead Ringers).

1. Showdown: With the trailer finally out, we can now get a good glimpse on how this will probably go down. In the first part of the trailer, you can hear people telling Superman to go home or giving him a handful of criticism with his position as a hero of Metropolis. Others seems to see him as a messiah or Christ-figure. Although some praise him, the majority probably hates him because his statue was vandalized with the words "False God" written on it. The public outcry might lead Batman to beat-up Superman, especially him uttering the phrase "Tell me, do you bleed? You will." Also check out his Batmobile, he seems battle ready alright. Wonder Woman though, is yet to be seen.

2. "Unite The Seven...": Speaking of heroes, one of the most anticipated appearance was that of Jason Momoa as the King of Atlantis, Aquaman. According to some sources, Aquaman would only make a short cameo in the movie. It was said that Aquaman would be very furious at what General Zod did to the Indian Ocean. Just a little bit of a flash back here.  Remember in the Man of Steel, General Zod put one of the World Engine in the ocean which destroys many marine live, thus upsetting Aquaman. Does this mean Aquaman may join Batman beating-up Superman for a while?

For more information about Aquaman, click here.

Source
3. Run, Run, Run!: Another superhero cameo, the famous Scarlet Speedster may be sharing the big screen with the three heroes for a short time. It was hinted that the actor above, Scoot McNairy, could be playing a character who would play a pivotal role in the film universe soon. The possible role he may tackle may be that of the Flash, since he may be using those socks to create the Speed Force effect. It is highly probable, but this would be in contrast with the fact that an actor was already cast as the Flash in future films. Could he probably be portraying someone else?

For more information about the Flash, click here.

Source

4. Teen Titan(s) GO?: Boy, the fans were right, they should just call this movie "Justice League". For fans of the beloved animated show, Teen Titans, you might very well know the mechanical fellow above as Cyborg. And as you guys would expect, Cyborg would be making his cinematic debut here, as confirmed by Ray Fisher himself. His role may be a small one, but it is no doubt that we'll soon be following the updated version of Cyborg. However, his presence here is still in question. In my opinion, after Victor Stone/Cyborg has suffered a severe accident and he might need the help of Lex Luthor to bring his body back together, and for doing this favor Lex would rather or probably asked something in return.

Form roe information about Cyborg, click here and for the show, click here.

Source
5. The Dark Knight Returns Again: Apart from the heroes galore, the story of the movie seems all the more interesting. Many have speculated that the movie may be an adaptation of "The Dark Knight Returns" comics since as confirmed by Ben Affleck, Batman will be a seasoned hero and would be coming out of retirement to beat the pulp out of Superman. In addition, Jena Mallone of Sucker Punch may be suiting-up as a female Robin. However, there are rumors flying in that her character already died before the events of the film. Her supposed fall is the reason why Batman hung-up the cape. This should be good.

For more information about the story, click here and for the female Robin, click here.

Source
6. Eisenberg for Heisenberg: Even though many wanted to see Walter White/Bryan Cranston to play the villain, Jesse Eisenberg was given the duty of portraying the sinister Lex Luthor. Many deemed the idea as a miscast, so DC and Warner Bros. turned the tables by showing us how Eisenberg can pull this character off. But let's put the casting opinions aside, and instead, let's take a look at his attire. It looks like as if he is in jail. Of course, he'll be sitting in jail since he is a bad guy, but could this mean that he'll already be a criminal even before the film started? Also in the trailer, you can hear Lex say "Devils don't come from hell beneath us. They come from the sky.". This already hints his hatred for Superman.

Bottom (Left to Right): Mr. Zsasz, KGBeast and Morgan Edge

7. Calling All Bad Guys: For a handful of heroes, there must be an equal amount of villains to oppose them. In our last hidden surprise, we discussed the possible evil-doers that may be coming to Lex Luthor's aid. Let's do this in a list manner so that our minds won't overload.

A. Doomsday: Actor Michael Shannon, who played General Zod in Man of Steel, was seen in the set. Although his character died in the predecessor, it is possible that Zod may be reincarnated into Doomsday, the beast that killed Superman in "The Death of Superman" arc. It may be because of Luthor obtaining his body and experimenting on it. Images of Superman's funeral were also seen, which leads to the conclusion that this is possible.

B. Mercy Graves: Unlike the rest of the baddies in this list, this one has been confirmed. Tao Okamoto is set to play as Mercy Graves, Luthor's bodyguard. In addition, it has been said that LexCorp, Luthor's company, may be like the evil versions of Microsoft or Apple.

C. Bizzaro: Just like the Doomsday theory, it is possible that General Zod may be brought back to life, in a very different angle. Instead, Zod's DNA may be fused with Superman's in order to create a nasty and dastardly bizarre version of him (Saw what I did there?). Bizarro, for non-comic readers, was a genetically imperfect clone of Superman, who literally does everything the opposite of what you expect Superman to do.

D. Brainiac: What's this? Someone else is the big bad? Maybe. According to a source, Brainiac would be the primary antagonist of one of the Justice League films, and his plan kicks into gear here when he manipulates the two into beating each other up. Of course, he'll need some help in the form of LexCorp's technology. Will we see Brainiac in action?

E. Mr. Zsasz: This one is a possible cameo only. We might be seeing this insane killer in nowhere else but Arkham Asylum, or maybe even a flashback. Victor Zsasz is a serial killer in the comics that keeps count of his body count by placing scars in his body, and mostly a Batman bad guy. He is rumored to be played by Callan Mulvey.

F. KGBeast, David Cain and MetalloAn evildoer would often need some muscle to do their dirty work. So obviously, Luthor would be seeking some. This is where KGBeast, David Cain and Metallo come in. KGBeast is a former-KGB agent who has a machine gun for an arm, Cain is a vicious hitman and Metallo is somewhat an Iron Man wannabe who has a Kryptonite for a heart. While it wasn't confirmed if they would appear, or only one of them would, the actors who would portray them are still a mystery.

G. Morgan Edge: Another mystery role, Morgan Edge has been rumored to be a spokesperson for LexCorp. In the comics, Edge is a corrupt media mogul who runs a news studio as a front for his crimes.

H. Amanda Waller: Goodness, is anybody not in this movie? For Arrow fans, she is the secondary antagonist of the current season, and she is played by Cynthia Addai-Robinson. You might know that Viola Davis would be portraying her in the Suicide Squad flick. She may be here as a contractor or client of Luthor's.

Man, was that exhausting! This movie really do have potential, and I wish the very best for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice in March 25, 2016.  Still a long time to go, so expect more alterations and modification in the turn out of the movie.

Ciao for now!!
