What's The Buzz With Comic Con 2016?

source
No time to explain completely, but to simply put, I will paraphrase a famous line from Mad Max: Fury Road, "What a lovely day!". And what a lovely day it was indeed, especially if you are a comicbook reader such as us. Recently, the annual San Diego Comic Con, or the SDCC, made a lot of noise with a handful of interesting movie news bits. Dateline Movies will make a recap on the most important movie trailers, and some interesting updates, plus some speculation, previewed in this particular event. This post would be really helpful for those like us who have sadly missed all of the action.

Unfortunately, they stumble upon not just hordes of said mysterious creatures, they also run into the Clown Prince of Crime, the Joker, as well as the famous crime fighter, Batman and a powerful sorceress known as The Enchantress.

Discovering his true path, Arthur sets-out to reclaim what was lost, and avenge the death of his family by hunting down their murderer and unite the lands to free themselves of their kingdom's tyrant, who is also the killer of Arthur's family.

Man, this post was very tiring to write, and it took me about a week to write about it, given that I have to go through a landslide of homework since that exams are just two weeks from now. On the bright side, here are the most important updates and teasers straight out of the recent San Diego Comic Con. Up next, and hopefully we will be able to do the rest of these ideas, we will be reviewing all the films that are part of the filming world that DC Comics is always good at. Yep, their animated original movies, and this will replace our initial Marvel Phase 1 reviews. In addition, we might have to delay much of our cancelled movie posts, since it is very time consuming to read all of them. As such, we will be replacing them with various ideas that slip through our minds that is hopefully easy to write about.

Stay tuned for more Dateline Movies!

Movie Pitch: The Mighty Avengers (Part 1 of Secret War)

Source, "Mighty Avengers, Assemble!"
I better make this quick. Dateline Movies is here with a new movie pitch, and the first part of a mini-series of pitches, specifically about Marvel's Phase 4. This one is about the Mighty Avengers, which is based on the Marvel team of the same name, and in this pitch, an integration of both the West Coast Avengers, a Los Angeles-stationed team, and the New Avengers, which was formed after the original Avengers disbanded. This one would focus on the real Mandarin, given that many people want the definitive Mandarin to reveal himself. That is all for now, and I am sorry for making another long post (once those creative juices started pouring, its really hard to stop them). Also, the story arc of Phase 4 is inspired by the Marvel story arc, "Secret War".

Source, The Mad Titan Kills The Marvel Cosmic Universe!
Background

One year after Thanos' attack on Earth in his never ending pursuit of the cosmic artifacts known as the Infinity Stones, the entire universe is suffering from a huge deal of damages. Many of Earth's mightiest superheroes have fallen, Asgard is not safe from this cataclysm, as the disaster has left the whole realm of Asgard in a state of disarray, with many sinister creatures taking advantage of the chaos to destroy Asgard for good. Many of the other Avengers are considered missing in action. Due to the enormous hits taken by his company, Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, is forced to pull the plug on his funding of the Avengers in order to help other people, forcing the team to disband in the process. Iron Man also retires, hoping to help people without the use of the Iron Man armors.

Some of the heroes, and one villain, killed during the invasion include the following.
  • Steve Rogers / Captain America (Played by Chris Evans)
  • Thor Odinson (Played by Chris Hemwsworth)
  • Victor Shade / The Vision (Played by Paul Bettany)
  • Heimdall (Played by Idris Elba)
  • Loki Laufeyson (Played by Tom Hiddleston)
The heroes that are said to be missing in action include the following. Their actual statuses will be tackled in later parts of Secret War.
  • Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow (Played by Scarlett Johansson)
  • Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch (Played by Elizabeth Olsen)
  • James "Bucky" Barnes / Winter Soldier (Played by Sebastian Stan)
  • Col. Nicolas Fury (Played by Samuel L. Jackson)
Source, The Masters of Evil
Crime rate all across the globe is at an all-time high, as those affected by the attacks are turning to villainy, either to protect themselves from any further attacks, or to be able to cope with their losses. All criminals that SHIELD captured before have escaped custody in the aftermath of the conflict. While Martial Law has been implemented everywhere else, it does not do anything to keep the peace in-check. Some have even turned to dark magic and cults. In response, a new intelligence and espionage division has been formed, serving as well as the replacement of SHIELD, known as HAMMER, headed by OsCorp founder and defense secretary Norman Osborn. Almost no one trusts Osborn, aside from heading one of the most powerful and potentially corrupt scientific companies in the world, he also killed and experimented on his wife years before, with many labeling him as the "Worst Man Alive".

These are the villains that have escaped from SHIELD's grasp, and like some of the other characters on this list, will be again featured in another post.
  • Col. Helmut "The Baron" Zemo (Played by Daniel Brühl)
  • Samuel Sterns / The Leader (Played by Tim Blake Nelson)
  • Emil Blonsky / The Abomination (Played by Tim Roth)
  • Georges Batroc (Played by Georges St. Pierre)
  • Justin Hammer (Played by Sam Rockwell)
  • Ulysses Klaue (Played by Andy Serkis)
Source, The Fallen Son
A handful of people that have managed to survive the entire ordeal, in this pitch, include the following. Their whereabouts will be explored in later entries of Secret War. Some of them will be making an appearance in this pitch's story section. Note that the only characters listed here are the ones that appear in the movies only. The characters from Netflix Originals, and other Marvel-related programs will be discussed some other time.
  • Tony Stark / Iron Man (Played by Robert Downey Jr.)
  • Dr. Bruce Banner / The Hulk (Played by Mark Ruffalo)
  • Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Played by Tom Holland)
  • Dr. Stephen Strange (Played by Benedict Cumberbatch)
  • T'Challa / Black Panther (Played by Chadwick Boseman)
  • Scott Lang / Ant-Man / Giant-Man (Played by Paul Rudd)

  • Lt. Col. James Rhodes / War Machine (Played by Don Cheadle)
  • Everett Ross (Played by Martin Freeman)
  • Sharon Carter / Agent 13 (Played by Emily VanCamp)
  • Sec. Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross (Played by William Hurt)

The Movie (The Mighty Avengers)

It is now the year 2020, and the world mourns the ones that they have lost, including their fallen heroes. With the Avengers disbanded due to budget concerns, everyone now turns to the militaristic law-enforcement agency known as HAMMER to keep the peace, now that villains of all shapes and sizes are making use of the turmoil for their own personal ends.

The main roster of Avengers would feature Hawkeye, War Machine, Ant-Man and The Wasp. Hawkeye here became an insomniac because of the events that he experienced during Infinity War. Ant-Man, with The Wasp, is now handling a security service firm known as "Ant-Man Security Solutions". We have no idea for now on what War Machine has been doing yet, but we have something for him in store in another entry.

Source, "You'll Never See Me Coming."
The main antagonists of the movie would be the Ten Rings, who have started reappearing after the uprising occurred, and are causing unrest with mysterious advanced weaponry, and enigmatic monsters infused with technology. The real Mandarin, not happy that he was mocked at by the Advanced Idea Mechanics years before, would be appearing here under the guise of an architect heading the Prometheus Development Corporations, and he is making use of the architect identity to excavate an alien ship that carries a fabled "weapon". This weapon would be known as Fin Fang Foom, an ancient Chitauri Leviathan which was buried under the West Coast centuries before Loki commanded the Chituari to invade Earth. The Mandarin as well would be making use of his trademark rings to fight the heroes, with some added mixed-martial arts to complete his skill set.

The Mandarin's origin would still be relatively similar to his comicbook counterpart, but we also combined some elements from other iterations of the character, including the animated shows. The Mandarin was a nameless English scientist who ventured through China in search of an alien ship which was believed to have been buried in China. Exiled from his town after performing unorthodox experiments that many saw as "sorcery" while he was an adviser to the king, who was Genghis Khan at this time, he accidentally stumbled upon a dormant Chitauri ship. Inside the ship, there is a large crystallized power source, from which he carved ten colorfully distinct rings. From then on, he started a criminal empire, which soon evolved into an empire.

Source, The Advanced Idea Mechanics
And speaking of the Advanced Idea Mechanics, The Mandarin is also hunting down the others who are involved in the organization's devious Extremis projects. While he is not aiming to kill them, but provide them an eternal supply of torment, The Mandarin is making use of the technology retrieved from a mysterious source (Which we plan to reveal in a later entry of this mini-series), as well as magic that he learned many generations before, to fuse both metal and bone, resulting into monsters with cybernetic upgrades. Although the actual technology used came from an unknown creator, some of the other weapons that the Ten Rings use, as well as about a quarter used for the monsters, are provided by none other than Iron Man for Justin Hammer, who provides weapons for the Ten Rings.

Hammer is no longer attempting to be better than Tony Stark. Instead, he is trying to destroy the entire superhero populace after realizing that providing weapons to supervillains is much more profitable. In addition, he now has a daughter, which he bore from his wife, whom he wed. Unlike the other villains who were apprehended by SHIELD, he was the only one who was given an early release for "good behavior". He is not that close to Justine, his daughter, though, as she sees her father as a bad guy, comparing Justin to Tony Stark frequently. Hammer also has a villa in the West Coast, which is made from a lot of his mechanical products.

Source, Norman Osborn Wants You To Join His New World Order!
The central premise would involve the fallout of Thanos' attack on Earth, as the Avengers disband, and a new security consortium forms from the ashes of the now destroyed SHIELD. In the middle of the commotion, monsters of occult origin, infused with strange cybernetics, and are believed to be the sign of the definitive Mandarin's wrath. Some of the former Avengers have to band together to eliminate the West Coast threat. But there is something else at play here, and none of them will be prepared for what is coming. The main focus of the movie would be on Hawkeye, given that he seems to be underdeveloped, compared to the other characters. War Machine, on the other hand, well, we have a plan for him.

The opening scene would be a rainy day, the former Avengers, including Iron Man, the Hulk, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, The Wasp, War Machine, The Falcon, Spider-Man, Black Panther and Captain Marvel mourn the deaths of their once comrades and friends in what is now called the Avengers Mansion. The place serves as a public hospital for those who are injured from the invasion, but it also acts as a memorial shrine for those who were killed. Almost everyone is there to honor their comrade. Everyone except the ace archer Hawkeye.

I will just summarize this part, in order to avoid prolonging the post too much. The part that would unite the team would be when Hawkeye infiltrated a Ten Rings excavation site, which is disguised as a renovation site, only for Hawkeye to be chased down by Ten Rings. Fortunately, War Machine, Ant-Man and The Wasp have managed to rescue Hawkeye.

Source, The Crimson Dynamo Strikes!
The second-to-the-last battle would feature Justin Hammer, in a power armor of his own, which he personally dubs as a "Crimson Dynamo", with this creative decision made to give the character a fighting chance, distracting the heroes as The Mandarin smuggles Fin Fang Foom's parts out of the West Coast, and in the end, he is arrested. His purpose for having the name Crimson Dynamo is because the armor is not only colored red, but is inspired by some designs by Anton Vanko, his former accomplice turned attempted killer.

The final battle would take place in Mandarin City, a Mandarin-controlled city in China, with the Avengers sneaking their way in. While Ant-Man, War Machine and The Wasp handle the activated Fin Fang Foom as it ravages through the nation, Hawkeye fights The Mandarin in his office, and successfully defeating the villain. However, The Mandarin will not be killed-off, and he will simply escape to an undisclosed location with the rings.

Source, How Many Avengers Does It Take To Stop A Bad Guy?
By the end of the movie, the "Mighty Avengers" part ways, as Ant-Man and The Wasp settle down for a while. Hawkeye returns to his family, satisfied that he was able to save the world and honor his friends' memory, only to receive an untraceable call from an alive Black Widow, inviting him to investigate some disturbances in Japan that involves more Ten Rings agents, and a lot of spy-related murders. The closing shot would show Black Widow intercepting a dockyard, as a mysterious figure in red exits a passenger ship.

In the mid-credits scene, a silhouetted man talks via computer screen to an unnamed female, who talks about "avoiding their assets". The man says that they must make use of what they have to keep the heroes distracted from the bigger picture, noting that the Mighty Avengers' capture of a lot of AIM scientists could be beneficial. He adds that The Mandarin proves himself to be "more than what he claims to be", and that "your technology proved to be a success in its test run. The closing shot would show the female thanking the man, as the camera zoom to view the Latverian flag.

In the post-credits scene, James Rhodes is introduced by Everett Ross to the "U.S. War Machine" unit, as the members discuss their first target, an anti-nationalist terrorist organization known as U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M., which stands for the Underground Liberated Totally Integrated Mobile Army To Unite Mankind.

Well, there goes yet another long post. Don't worry, I am currently mastering the way of writing the shortest yet best posts yet. Pogo: Typical Music For The Typical Moviegoer

source
Whenever I write new posts, I would always require the assistance of music to keep my focus intact. If you're wondering what music I listen to, I listen to some old school tunes such as Michael Jackson and Queen, on occasion some pretty decent tracks from Fall Out Boy, Panic! at The Disco and My Chemical Romance, and even Filipino originals from Rivermaya. However, if none of their songs help me out, I would go and listen to some remixes made from sound bits from movies and TV shows. This artist, whose real name is Nick Bertke, and known by the stage name Pogo, used a lot of these bits to create some really uplifting and catchy remixes. While we currently finish writing our posts, enjoy Dateline Movies' first short post in a long while. We will be sharing much of Pogo's work in this post, since his pieces have been somewhat tributes to a large roster of movies, and he doesn't seem to have that much recognition. Enjoy!

Lead Breakfast (Sounds From The 1994 Movie "Pulp Fiction")

Upular (Sounds From The 2009 Movie "Up")

Boo Bass (Sounds From The 2001 Movie "Monsters Inc.")

Murmurs of Middle-Earth (Sounds From "The Lord of the Rings Trilogy")

Time Machine (Sounds From The 1985 Movie "Back to the Future")

Davyd (Sounds From The 2001 Movie "A.I. Artificial Intelligence")

Toyz Noise (Sounds From the 1999 Movie "Toy Story")

Source

Alice (Sounds From The 1951 Movie "Alice in Wonderland")

You can take a look at more of his works in his website by clicking here. These include much more movie remixes, TV show remixes, and original scores. Also, why not leave a subscription on his YouTube channel for more awesome tunes? You can also listen to a lot of his music in Spotify! Up next, there might be less speculation-related posts due to time constraints and a little something known as "Writer's Block", but more short posts as we speak to keep the website afloat! Part 1: Who's Who in Spider-Man: Homecoming? (A Spotted! Tie-In)

With no official trailer even out, yet Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently one of the most anticipated superhero movies as of now. This is mainly in-part due to Tom Holland's amazing portrayal of the titular web-head in the recent Phase 3 outing, Captain America: Civil War. With Sony and Marvel Studios learning to mend fences and reach on a mutually beneficial agreement, Spider-Man: Homecoming looks as if it would be the definitive Spider-Man film. Recent news from the movie is making quite a buzz all over the web (No pun intended.), as the film itself is attracting a huge array of talented cast mates, including Michael Keaton, who previously refused to join-in. With fans beginning to speculate in hopes that they know who these actors are, one thing is for certain, the cast is unbelievably packed. For this Spotted! Tie-In, not only are we going to find out who these mystery characters are, but also figure out the entire central premise of the story. Needless to say, there are potential spoilers here.
The Concept

Again, whatever that is written in this post is purely speculation, specifically this post will expand further on the ideas posted in a post of JoBlo.com. In addition, since this is mostly speculation, you might as well consider this as a movie pitch since we are basically telling a story of our own.

According to this certain post, it seems that there will be more than one villain in this flick, aside from the classic Spider-Man villain - The Vulture, who is set to be played by Michael Keaton. The other bad guy The Tinkerer, who is reported to be working together with The Vulture in the creation of the latter villain's trademark suit. Well that seems to be interesting for all the comicbook readers such as me, wait until you hear about what material the Vulture harness will be made from. It is made from Chitauri technology. Yes, the same Chitauri that invaded New York City in The Avengers. The same Chitauri that was used by HYDRA, and later Ultron, to create a robot army during Avengers: Age of Ultron. It could signify that the events that transpired in The Avengers had a bigger impact than what many would think, as evidenced in the first season of Agents of SHIELD and in the Marvel One-Shot, Item 47.

So how would this story play out in the movie? It can be speculated that none other than OsCorp, the pharmaceutical company owned by the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man's arch-nemesis, the Green Goblin, has managed to salvage a lot of Chitauri arsenal. But it seems that OsCorp is not the only power player in the reverse-engineering game, as criminals are making use of the technology for their own purposes. All of this potentially happening around the time that Midtown Highschool for Science and Technology is getting ready for a homecoming dance.

We'll go into full detail with the story on the next part as we speculate on who are the characters that may or may not be present in the upcoming movie, followed by the potential actor or actress who might portray him or her on the big screen. Added to the roles are some scenarios on how these characters could get involved in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Note that we won't be adding Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Maria Tomei's Aunt May, as we would be only focusing on characters new to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as actors and actresses with currently undisclosed roles.

The Cast

Michael Keaton as Adrian Toomes / The Vulture

Despite initially refusing to partake on the web-head's once more rebooted adventure, Michael Keaton eventually changed his mind and is eventually reported by sources that he will be playing The Vulture. Not only that, it is said that he will be the film's main antagonist. On a side note, Keaton's role is the only confirmed so far. While there have been a lot of people who bore the moniker, the most possible choice is Adrian Toomes, the most notable of all versions. In the comics, Adrian Toomes was originally an electronics engineer, until he discovered that his employer was embezzling his project funds. Enraged, he became one of Spider-Man's most recurring and persistent enemies of all time.

As previously mentioned, Adrian Toomes' trademark Vulture harness is reported to be made out of Chitauri items, most probably from the anti-gravity equipment used by the invaders for aerial combat. His involvement in this flick, and the fact that he is set to be the big bad of the story, could suggest that some parts of the script might be inspired from what could have been Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4, but with John Malkovich originally slated for the role.

Given that OsCorp is the kind of corporation that likes to meddle with things that none of them would ever understand, it is a safe bet that Adrian Toomes could be the head of the project that handles Chitauri technology. What lead him to the creation of his Vulture suit could be that, in-tone with the echoing theme of the Sokovia Accords, he wants to show that the world doesn't need superheroes anymore now that corporations can build weapons of their own. If we are to follow the comics accurately, Toomes' motivation could be that OsCorp is embezzling on his project, or possibly that OsCorp is changing the goal of the program, which eventually angered him, and tries to expose OsCorp for misusing his work.

Logan Marshall-Green (Potentially) as Elijah Stern / The Tinkerer

While we do already have our main villain, our handy-dandy very own Wikipedia confirms that there will be three bad guys that will enter conflict with Spider-Man. Logan Marshall-Green is one of the other two, and his role at the moment, like the rest of the film's cast, is currently shrouded in mystery, but we might have a single good guess. Remember when we mentioned that The Vulture might get his suit from the Tinkerer? Well, it seems he could really be more than just your average costume designer. In the comics, the Tinkerer's real name is Phineas Mason, and he runs a shop for him to make weapons for criminals. In the mainstream universe, he is actually a middle-aged man, the same age as Toomes. Given that Logan Marshall-Green is not within that age yet, it looks like he could be playing the Ultimate Comics version of the Tinkerer, provided that Marvel likes to take some inspiration from the Ultimate Marvel line. The Ultimate version, which is technically a parallel universe take on the character, is named Elijah Stern, a scientist fired after trying to use Vibranium (The same metal that makes-up Black Panther's costume.) as a power source.

So how would Elijah Stern fit into the story? Apart from designing The Vulture's suit, he might actually be Toomes' former co-worker on the Chitauri experiments. By following the Ultimate Comics, he might have been kicked-out of OsCorp for "tinkering" (Get it?) too much with the alien devices. On one scenario, he might be fired for knowing too much. Judging by his modus operandi in the stories, the Tinkerer might be aiding Toomes in his plans by giving-out technology to other criminals, and having them commit attacks on OsCorp, and hopefully have them steal something that will expose OsCorp's crimes.

Other Potential Guess/es:

Herman Schultz / The Shocker: Electronic engineer turned bank robber who uses "Vibro-Shock" gauntlets to commit crimes. It's also possible that The Tinkerer idea might just be a red herring. Knowing that hopefully Marvel wouldn't do the same mistake three times, specifically the overuse of villains part, it is possible that we might just see one main villain after all. Here, Logan Marshall-Green's role could be that of a henchman

Bokeem Woodbine (Potentially) as Aaron Davis / The Prowler

No, that's not Deadpool, although their costumes are basically the same designs. This is the Ultimate Prowler, who plays a significant role in the life of another familiar web-head, Miles Morales. For our last mystery villain, we had to choose the Prowler given that recent guesses are pointing towards the beginning of Miles Morales' future as a web-slinging crime fighter. The mainstream Prowler was a teenage genius slash window washer named Hobie Brown, who decided to use his gifted intellect for personal gain. Spider-Man, who found-out that The Prowler was just a teenager, inspired him to be a hero rather than a villain. While it would seem that we would be getting the mainstream version, it is almost impossible now since the cast doesn't have anybody who is an African-American teenage male. As such, it is safe to say that we might be seeing the Ultimate Prowler, who is the uncle of Miles Morales, Aaron Davis. This iteration is a professional burglar, who worked with Miles' father, Jefferson, and was indirectly responsible for Miles getting his powers.

Since it might be almost impossible to feature all these villains in a balanced amount of screen time, it seems that The Prowler might appear as the introductory villain, just like Georges Batroc in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and might be a potential major villain in the coming years. Here, we might see him breaking into OsCorp, under the orders of The Tinkerer and The Vulture for their plans, with some added gadgets given by The Tinkerer. However, he might have a plan of his own, as like the Han Solo-type of character he is, he has a lot of debts that require paying. Unfortunately, he is thwarted by Spider-Man, and is sent to jail. We might even see him near the ending, trying to escape from prison or watching Spider-Man's final battle through a television screen.

Other Potential Guess/es:

Jackson Weele / Big Wheel: Businessman turned villain, who rides a giant mechanical wheel. He might just be the one who will embezzle from The Vulture's project, and might become a major character soon, specifically with a towering technological wheel.

Elias Wirtham / Cardiac: Physician turned vigilante after the death of his brother, caused by corporate corruption, motivated him to save lives. He might just be the introductory villain, like the other ideas here, and he might be working for The Vulture to avenge his brother's passing, which could be caused by OsCorp as they don't want anyone to know too much about their inner workings.

Michael Mando (Potentially) as Maximus Gargan / The Scorpion

While many have speculated that Michael Mando might be playing the sadistic, symbiotic bad guy that we all know and love, Carnage, many have forgotten that he played a Mexican character in Better Call Saul. As such, we think that there might be another villain, although mostly just in cameos, and that is the Ultimate rendition (Man, Marvel is cranking-up the Utimate meter up to eleven.) of The Scorpion. While the mainstream counterpart is a private detective turned armored villain named Mac Gargan, the Ultimate one is named Maximus Gargan, a Mexican gangster, who Aaron Davis owes a huge chunk of money.

Like I said before, it is highly probable that this figure would just be in a few scenes, and might eventually turn-up in a future flick. As in the comics, The Prowler might have stolen from him, and has decided to do a job on OsCorp, hoping that the hit could give him some profit. We might just see him interacting with The Prowler for a few minutes or so. Also, for those who are asking, it is almost likely that he could become the cybernetic Scorpion we all know to this day in the future. We might even see him picking-up some blueprints that The Prowler stole, and decided that he too should get an upgrade.

Other Potential Guess/es:

Cletus Kasady / Carnage: A psychotic killer who bonded with a spawn of the Venom Symbiote. His track record for playing the crazy villain, Vaas Montenegro in the game far Cry 3, Michael Mando might really be playing this serial killing baddie. By the end of the movie, we might see him in jail cell in his pre-Carnage state. He might be seen laughing maniacally.

Donald Glover and Selenis Leyva (Potentially) as Jefferson Davis and Rio Morales, Respectively

Not so long ago, Community star Donald Glover experienced a campaign for him to play Miles Morales on a big screen take, but like every other online campaign, it was all for naught. Luckily, he got the second best thing, he was able to voice the character in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. But Marvel knows a good opportunity when they see one, especially now that recent company shifts gives us a glimpse of more of their potential. As such, it is likely that Donald Glover might play Miles Morales' father, opposite to Selenis Leyva, who will be Miles' mother, Rio Morales.

It is a huge possibility that Jefferson and Rio would only appear for a couple of scenes, given that the story would be less Peter Parker oriented if more focus was given to them. In good time, they will appear in larger roles in a Miles Morales solo outing. However, if we are to follow the comics, we might see Rio Morales murdered by The Prowler (Instead of Venom, as Venom is yet to be introduced in this continuity.), and her death would motivate Miles to be a hero just like Spider-Man. If Miles Morales will not appear in the movie than everyone anticipated, it is possible that they might appear here as a form of foreshadowing.

Abraham Attah (Potentially) as Miles Morales

The Miles Morales speculations come to full circle when Abraham Attah was recently cast in a currently unknown role. The majority of the theories have agreed that he might be playing Miles Morales after all, who took on the Spider-Man mantle after the Peter Parker of the Ultimate Universe was seemingly killed by the Green Goblin.

If he is set to appear here, it would simply be in short scenes, as more focus on him would dilute the narrative. Of course, he will still be powerless here, and would simply assist Spider-Man in some cases. By the post-credits scene, we might see him looking through his uncle Aaron's stolen items, until a spider bit him, which would then give his powers soon.

Other Potential Guess/es:

Robert Farrell / Rocket Racer: Teenage genius with a high-tech hover-board. Since Miles Morales seems a little bit too early for a debut of his own, and Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige confirms that Miles won't be appearing in any of the movies for now, it is also likely that Attah's role could be that of the Rocket Racer. Here, he might be hired by Jackson Weele to cover-up his crimes, which makes him the introductory villain instead of The Prowler.

Hobie Brown / The Prowler: We already mentioned this rendition before. While we already have Bokeem Woodbine as our top pick for The Prowler, the teenage one may not be far behind. If Abraham Attah is not Miles Morales, then he could be some Spider-Man wannabe who tried to put a stop to OsCorp's devious plans, which he hopes would give him profit, only for Spider-Man to tell him to be the better man.

Oh no! I have once again reached the limit of the necessary word count. Man, I really got to practice the art of maintaining a short yet fulfilling post. So, we'll just have to continue our Spider-Man: Homecoming post some other time. I might take a well, because y'know, school work. To end this extremely long post, (I bet that you got tired of all the reading.), you can listen to some awesome songs from the original Spider-Man Trilogy. Sam Raimi sure does have a taste in music. Stay tuned for more Dateline Movies!
